IPL treats pigmentation, sunspots, age spots, broken capillaries, rosacea-related redness, persistent acne and uneven tone. It also stimulates collagen for texture improvement. Treatment suitability depends on skin type and concern, so we recommend a consultation and patch test.
Most clients see meaningful improvement after 3–6 treatments. Vascular and pigmented packages often use three sessions; rejuvenation and acne benefit from a series of six spaced weeks apart. Individual response varies and your technician will recommend a schedule.
IPL is safe for many skin tones, but higher melanin levels can increase the risk of pigmentation changes. We perform skin assessments and patch tests, and may adjust settings or recommend alternative treatments when necessary for safety.
Sessions usually last 20–60 minutes depending on area. You'll wear eye protection, feel brief snapping sensations and experience cooling. Mild redness or swelling may occur for a few days. We provide aftercare instructions to support healing and results.
Downtime is minimal for most clients. Expect temporary redness, mild swelling or darkening of pigmented spots that flake over 3–10 days. Avoid sun exposure and strenuous activity for 48 hours. Recovery varies by treatment intensity.
Avoid tanning, sun exposure, and self-tanners for at least two weeks. Discontinue retinoids and acids as advised. Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin. We'll review medications and perform a patch test to ensure safe, effective treatment.
