Get answers to common questions about Volume Lash Extensions - Fill.
Most clients schedule fills every 2–3 weeks to replace shed extensions and maintain fullness. Timing varies with natural growth cycle, lash retention, and lifestyle. Your technician will recommend a personalized schedule based on density, wear pattern, and aftercare habits.
When applied by experienced technicians using lightweight fans and correct adhesive, volume fills should not damage natural lashes. Proper isolation and regular fills prevent unnecessary weight and pulling. Poor application or picking can cause stress, so follow aftercare and schedule maintenance.
A fill appointment typically takes 45 to 75 minutes depending on how many extensions need replacing, natural lash spacing, and your previous set. Clients with significant gaps may require longer sessions to restore desired density and symmetry.
Mascara is generally unnecessary with volume lashes. If desired, use only water-based, non-oil mascara applied to tips and removed gently. Avoid waterproof formulas and heavy application, which can clump fans and shorten retention of your fill.
Aftercare includes keeping lashes dry for twenty-four to forty-eight hours, avoiding oil-based products, and refraining from rubbing or picking. Gently brush lashes with a clean spoolie daily and use recommended cleansers to maximize retention and time between fills.
We recommend a patch test if you have sensitive skin, known adhesive allergies, or it's your first time with our adhesive. This simple precaution helps prevent reactions and should be scheduled at least forty-eight hours before your fill appointment.
