Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Permanent Eyeliner.

Permanent Eyeliner commonly lasts one to three years depending on skin type, lifestyle, and pigment choice. Many clients schedule a color boost at 12–18 months to refresh saturation; oils, sun exposure, and exfoliation may accelerate fading.

We apply a medical-grade topical anesthetic and use gentle techniques to minimize discomfort. Most clients describe pressure or slight stinging, not sharp pain. Procedures are well-tolerated and breaks can be taken if needed.

Initial healing takes about 7–14 days with mild swelling, scabbing, and flaking; pigment may appear darker then soften. Keep the area clean and dry, avoid makeup and pools, and follow our aftercare instructions closely for optimal color retention.

Removal is possible but more complex than application. Options include laser removal, saline, or corrective pigment work. Consulting our artist determines the safest approach; adjustments or softening sessions are commonly used instead of full removal.

Good candidates are healthy adults seeking low-maintenance eyeliner. We assess medical history, medications, allergies, and skin conditions. Pregnant, breastfeeding, or clients with active eye infections, certain autoimmune disorders, or blood-clotting issues may be advised to postpone.

Avoid blood-thinning medications, alcohol, aspirin, and excessive caffeine 48 hours prior. Stop retinoids and chemical peels one week before. Remove contact lenses, arrive with a clean face, and discuss expectations during your pre-procedure consultation.
