Get answers to common questions about Brazilian.
A typical Brazilian takes about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on hair amount and client comfort. Our estheticians work efficiently while ensuring privacy and care. New clients may need a bit more time for consultation and prep.
Ensure hair is at least quarter-inch long, exfoliate gently one to two days before, and avoid heavy lotions or oils. Arrive clean and wear comfortable clothing. Inform your esthetician of any medications or sensitivities to ensure safe treatment.
Some discomfort is normal, especially on initial treatments, but our skilled estheticians use techniques to minimize pain. We offer pre- and post-wax soothing treatments and can adjust pressure and speed. Pain typically lessens with regular waxing.
Most clients see regrowth between three and six weeks, depending on individual hair cycles. Regular waxing can lead to finer, sparser regrowth over time. Schedule follow-ups based on personal growth patterns and your desired smoothness.
Active sunburn, open wounds, severe varicose veins, certain skin infections, or recent chemical peels can prevent waxing. Inform us of prescriptions like Accutane or blood thinners. Our staff will assess and recommend alternatives or defer treatment if needed.
Avoid hot baths, saunas, tight clothing, and vigorous exercise for 24 to 48 hours. Use gentle cleanser, avoid exfoliation for 48 hours, and apply soothing aloe or recommended serum. Exfoliate lightly after 72 hours to prevent ingrown hairs.
