Get answers to common questions about Eyebrows.
Most clients enjoy clean brows for three to six weeks. Hair type, growth cycle, and aftercare affect duration. Regular appointments every four to six weeks keep shape consistent and allow brows to be refined without over-waxing the delicate area.
Some discomfort is normal, but experienced estheticians minimize pain with precise technique, high-quality wax, and skin prepping. We patch-test new clients, use soothing post-wax treatments, and offer tips to reduce sensitivity before and after your appointment.
For best results, let brow hair grow about 1/4 inch. Avoid retinoids, chemical peels, and sunburn for 48 hours prior. Skip topical numbing or blood-thinning medications unless approved by your provider. Arrive with clean, makeup-free brows.
Waxing shapes hair and can refine appearance, but it doesn't permanently alter hair follicle direction. Repeated over-plucking might affect regrowth, but professional waxing focuses on maintaining and enhancing your natural shape, minimizing long-term damage when done properly.
Avoid heavy makeup, saunas, hot showers, exfoliation and sun exposure for 24-48 hours. Apply soothing gel or aloe if needed. Keep area clean and avoid touching. Follow recommended brow oil or serum use to promote healthy regrowth.
Most clients return every four to six weeks depending on hair growth and desired maintenance. Thinner or slower-growing hair may need less frequent visits. Your technician will recommend a personalized schedule during your first appointment to maintain shape.
